Part of the Tasmanian Institute of Sport (TIS), the Silverdome is a multi-purpose facility with a focus on sporting users, particularly netball and cycling.  Procedures are in place to ensure that sporting users are given priority booking status of the facility; particularly the main arena and cycling track.

The Silverdome Complex has a range of rooms and areas available for hire and can cater for large and small sporting events, community events, meetings, training, exhibitions and concerts.
